I purchased this item because I am a Parkinson's disease patient, and my medication causes me to fall asleep while in an easy chair, e.g. recliner, and I wake up with my head off to one side, or my chin on my chest, and have drooled on myself.

This item was intended to stop that problem. It is a well made, comfortable item, but the physical dimensions of my body, neck, chair and this pad did not fit together in a comfortable or workable combination. I offered giving it away, but nobody wanted it.

Then an event required me to take a ten hour drive in the back seat of my brother's car. This pad was a life saver. It provided inconspicuous comfortable neck support and it was easy to sleep in the car. Coming and going. I am not about to give it away, anymore.

I realized relaxing in my favorite chair in front of TV was not traveling: this is a travel pillow. It provides good enough neck support it would be worth buying just to test the comfort. It may work well for you in both home and travel situations.

Our family travels quite often, especially by car. This pillow helps to make trips more comfortable. The kids love to use the pillow to sleep help them sleep soundly in an upright position without causing them neck pain. It is soft, comfortable and very easy to pack. We take the neck pillow with us everywhere. I haven't had the opportunity to travel with this pillow as of yet; but I did try it out once I received it. The pillow is incredibly soft and comfortable, as is the pillowcase! I like that the pillowcase can be removed for washing. The pillow itself has a contoured base that I suppose is there to cradle the head.

I have had an inflatable neck travel pillow for some time, and it has been acceptable (it has the advantage of folding into a small pouch); but this pillow is so much more comfortable that I think it's worth the extra space that it will take in my carry on bag.

I have owned many neck pillows and this one is by far the best. I used to fly a lot and now I take the train all the time. I use this pillow at least twice a day 5 days a week and it is a life saver. No more stiff necks from you head bobbing while your sleeping in a chair or the upright possition. it fits perfectly in my backpack that I use to travel with.

This pillow did not help me to sleep at all on my flight to Europe and the worst part was the cumbersome way I had to cram it in my carryon. Bottom line is it is too heavy to lug around and too firm. Takes up too much space in luggage.

This pillow is great for my bus commute. Very soft and comfortable, but gives firm support so I don't wake with neck strain. GREAT purchase.

I love this travel pillow. It is not flimsy like other neck travel pillows (inflatable, microbeads, etc). The memory form is dense so if you like squishy pillows you may be disappointed with this product.

The washable cover is great too. But I also put it into another pillow case and use it as a pillow, seat and/or lumbar cushion.

Took the Comfy Commuter on a multi-day car trip, and it was great - made it easy and comfortable to sleep when I was not the driver. Unlike a blow-up pillow, you can easily adjust how snug the pillow is around your neck - keeping your head from nodding and preventing a sore neck. It truly cradles your neck. Now I keep it in my car all the time. I have the version that includes the blanket, and I consider it part of my car earthquake preparedness kit.
It is a bit bulky for airline travel, but the attached carrier pouch can be hung on the outside of your carry-on/roller bag, which is fine if you are a commuter (and the fact that the pouch is part of the pillow means you don't have to worry about losing it). Probably would not take on an extended vacation if I was going to be lugging my luggage from place to place using public transportation. Otherwise, a terrific product.

I am having problems with my back that will not let me lay down in bed. I have been using the travel pillow at night so I can sleep upright in chair without having my head fall to the side and cause more problems. I love the firmness of the pillow.

I bought this neck pillow for my wife for her business flights. She never used it because she likes to pack light, but I use it almost every day! When I work from home, I always have this pillow around my neck. It is very comfortable and gives my head the support my chair doesn't. This pillow is so comfortable, I forget I'm wearing it, and have almost left home a few times with it still around my neck.
