The vocals are pure Adam Lambert, layering and harmonizing his own voice to sheer perfection.

Beautiful lyrics, beautiful production, beautiful message, and, of course beautifully sung.

The pop music scene has been in my review mirror for sometime. The over-produced dubstep, rap breakdowns and nonsensical lyrics has made the entire genre unrelatable. Instead, I lean towards alternative music. I crave depth, in both the production and content. I like voices that are captivating, either for their rawness, clever inflections or, as in Mr. Lambert's case, vocal supremacy. Few current day artist posses the ability to sing classic rock anthems and beat-driven pop with the same level of believability, but Lambert has demonstrated his ability to do so with ease. When his new single "Better Than I Know Myself," dropped I was pleased to find a pop song I could relate to. An electronic beat-driven ballad with a smooth, sweeping chorus and particularly touching bridge. What's most impressive is that Lambert did not sacrifice his amazing vocal ability to conform to a trendy sound; instead of dumbing down his talent, he raised the material to his level. What we get is a heartfelt song, sung masterfully by an amazingly talented performer. Bravo!

The first single from Adam Lambert's upcoming cd Trespassing is a gem of a pop song. It should be the model that all pop songs aspire to. Emotional lyrics, an addictive beat, and a memorable chorus make this a definite hit but what will propel it to #1 status is that Adam Lambert sings it.

This song has such a good hook that I go around humming it all day without realizing it. The words are relatable to me especially right now. Good job!

While pop's not my thing, Adam Lambert certainly is. With his new release, he once again captivates with his power vocals and mix of stylistic elements. For me, they could turn the production down even further so that his voice and his individuality might shine through more clearly. Pop seems to be a great equalizer -- there's just so much going on and the big producers certainly leave their mark. Watching Adam perform this song live twice this week (on Leno and Ellen) proves the point. Still, I love the beat, love his sensibility -- and of course, that beautiful voice of his.
