The author didn't really talk about everything..... In many states you need a food handler's permit to cook food to be consumed by other people, or even to serve it. Often you must cook it in a commercial kitchen. Most of these ideas wouldn't work, because you must have a great deal of talent or a very large amount of starting money, such as ideas like a store window painter, or a jewelry maker. Most people would rather hire professionals to actually get the work done, then to trust something to a kid. I'm 12 years old and I'm glad I did not buy this book at full price, but found it used at a thrift store.

This book is full of great ideas that kids can really use to make money. For each business, there is information on what supplies you need, how much time it will take, how much to charge customers, how to advertise, plus Daryl give some special tips from his experiences.

Daryl was 15 years old when he wrote this, so he really knows what it's like for kids to start their own businesses. Right now I'm trying 2 of the ideas in the book, and I'm already making some money.

Once you read this book, you'll see why it's the most famous book about money-making ideas for kids. Daryl really tells you everything you need to know and motivates you to believe in yourself.

Teen entrepreneur Daryl Bernstein gives the lowdown on over 50 nifty businesses that kids can start. He's come up with products and services that are truly useful -- and marketable. In addition to more traditional leaf raking and snow shoveling ideas, there's birthday party planner, comparison price shopper, photograph organizer, and lots more. Included are details on what supplies kids will need to run each business, what to charge, how to advertise, and special hints to make the venture a success.

Well, Daryl went a bit short on information. I couldn't start a business just on the stuff he has written. He only wrote a handful of cute paragraphs on each idea. Oh, well. A much better book on the subject is Extra Cach for Kids. (I think right now its out of print.) P.S. I do know what I'm talking about; I have run several businesses.

best book ever! I borrowed this book from my library, and it was very helpful. The author includes 51 unique businesses and tells you what you need, how much to charge, how to advertise...etc. I would highly recommend this book to any young entrepreneur who wants to start a business.

I especially like this book because Daryl Bernstein wrote this book when he was 15. His book is not only about his ideas but also his experiences as well.

I LOVE this book! I never actually started any businesses (OOPS!), but I really wanted to!!! hehehe... Anyway, this is a really neat book that I checked out from my local public library several times. I reccomend this book to any young person who has started a small business or has ever wanted to.

I really should not rate this book as I haven't received it yet. I ordered this book along with 2 others on March 24 and as of today, April 8, they haven't been shipped. My granddaughter is very disappointed, she asks me every day if I received them yet. What a poor way of encouraging children to read!

I think that this is a very good book for parents to buy for their kids.
It's kids telling their stories and who better than kids to help kids.
There are lots of money making ideas for kids and there is stuff on how to advertise, business ideas that can make money, and overall quite an interesting book.
This book can be applied for all times.
