Make sure you are getting the right book their are two different books shown in the pictures! They are from different years and have different recipes! both great books though!

Betty Crocker's Cookbook by the Betty Crocker Editors. I have the 1980 Third printing edition, Copyright 1978, 1969. This book has all the basics in it. If you want to know how long to boil corn, or how to cook a hunk of meat, or how to make a salad, this book has the instructions. The recipes tend to be tried and true, down home standards.

I have owned my "first" cookbook for over 30 years, and it is my standard "go to" cookbook for sauces, soups, and "how to" for most everything. It is falling apart and I will soon replace it with the new version. A must for a real cook.

This is a great basic cookbook that I go to constantly for family favorites. Nothing TOO fancy but everything ALWAYS turns out perfectly. Not a bad recipe in the book! Lots of good general information too.

I sold my copy years ago at a yard sale. When I tried to buy a newer version I realized that my favorite recipes weren't in the newer versions. I spent many hours going through different book stores looking to see if any of the Betty Crocker cookbooks had those recipes. Many of the recipes are very basic ones with easy to find ingredients. I sold my first Betty Crocker because it was starting to look a little worn. This one is a little worn as well but it looks wonderful to me now.

The picture of the cookbook I ordered was the one I wanted, however, I did not receive the cookbook in the picture that I had ordered from. Was very disappointed as this cookbook was an important gift and I was sent a different one. Therefore, just because you click on the picture of the one you wanted does not mean that, that is the one you'll get! Truly dissatisfied, and still searching for the correct cookbook.

This cookbook is a classic in our family! It was well represented by the seller, and came in excellent condition! A great gift for a young cook who wants to have the basic "old fashioned" recipes.

The Betty Crocker's Cookbook is a spiral bound cookbook which arrived within a few days. It was in excellent condition. Great find.

I ordered this book because I grew up using a Betty Crocker Cookbook. A few things were left out of the newer book that I miss, but for this most part, it has the basics I need. I can depend on the easy instructions and tasty results. A good cookbook for beginners and for forgetful people like me. I have a number of cookbooks, but this book probably gets more use than all the rest combined.
