This book has incredible ideas. Great receipes, Great pictures. Presented in a straight forward format. Buy this book, you won't be disappointed.

I purchased the book as a gift for a friend, and she was tickled with it. She found it entertaining in itself and has shared it with quite a few folks. Lots of ideas that still apply today even though times have changed. Great book - great price. Would recommend it.

I was a bit disppointed to pay the kind of money for this cookbook due to the good reviews of other people. Probably would not have spent the money to get the book if I have seen it. However, it does have some of the recipes that I could not find in her more recent cookbook. Still, I would say, if you have the money, get a newer, better cookbook.

The Book was in perfect condition and arrived promptly.
I was married in 1961, I used and enjoyed the book throughout the years. I received a copy of this book as a wedding shower gift but the book got lost in several moves. Going through it again as we start planning our 50th wedding anniversary has brought back many pleasant memories. Times and styles may have changed but enjoying time with friends is always a pleasure.

Let me first just say -I LOVE this book. It is such a pleasure to read and full of vintage illustrations and photos. It is loaded with excellent information on the (lost) art of hospitality. Not only does the author describe with refreshing simplicity the responsibilites of the host and hostess, but cleverly tucked here and there are also instructions for being a good guest which is just as important as being a good hostess.
The recipes throughout the book are delightful and many of them sound mouth watering! Great book!

Purchased for my daughter who is a bride to be, we both find this book very informational and fun to look through.
The price is right, too!
