This is one of my favorites! The cover is eye-catching! A real WOW! Each page has the usual star photos but the outfits fill the page . . . that's good! No waste! The figure (on the back cover) is large . . . nearly touching the top and bottom. With only one, she gets to be really dressed-to-the-nines and doesn't have to share . . . even with her alternate self. I have always liked paper dolls with lots of clothes. Sharing is nice, but not with my paper dolls! The clothes are glorious (except a common, ugly greenish bathrobe, but doubtless, that was on the screen and not Judy's fault). About the Author
First published in 1984, Judy M Johnson has illustrated a multitude of paper doll books for B. Shackman, Dover Publishing, the MagiCloth Company and Schylling Toys. Her paper dolls have appeared in numerous magazines and as convention souvenirs.
Her creative talent combined with her ability to take on the style of other artists, gave her the opportunity to illustrate paper dolls of many licensed characters for the MagiCloth Company including Curious George; Rugrats; Mr. Potato Head; and Sesame Street's Elmo, Kermit, Miss Piggy, Big Bird, Ernie and Burt.
The Betty Hutton Paper Doll is Judy's first published celebrity paper doll. As a big fan of Betty Hutton's movies and music, it was a special honor for her to commemorate the dynamic actress as a glamorous paper doll.
