5.0 out of 5 stars comfortable
The footbed feels just a tad different than the original birkenstock, somehow it hugs your heel more, but still a most comfortable sandal. The shape of the heel is also not the conventional birkenstock, it is very slightly angled out, hardly noticable, and still attractive. For the price, any slight differences don't matter. It is still an extremely high quality flat...

2.0 out of 5 stars Faux Birkenstock
Supposedly these sandals were manufactured by another company under Birkenstock specifications. However, the sizing to me is off. I have many size 37 Birkenstock sandals which fit perfectly--even though I wear an American size 8.5 Wide. These, however, are really too small. I didn't get around to returning them within 15 days. I thought it would be safe to get that...

5.0 out of 5 stars Now I have some Birkenstocks!, February 23, 2006
I redeemed a gift certificate to purchase my Betula by Birkenstock Woogie Mocha Nubuck 3 Strap Sandals-742483. I decided to indulge myself, and I'm glad I did--they are very comfortable, and also attractive. I'm very pleased with my purchase!

5.0 out of 5 stars Thank god!!!, January 9, 2007
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I bought these at the request of yet another new podiatrist and I figured I had already spent thousands on my poor feet what is another $100. Well I found these after a lot of looking and they were a price I was more than happy to pay (can't remember exact price, but it was great) and I got them within a week.

I have PF and have been dealing with this for almost 2 years now with no end in sight. The absolute only time my foot does not hurt is when I am wearing my Betula's! Thank God I found these-they are essentially my slippers-I teach fitness classes all day in sneakers and as soon as I get home my Betula's go on!!! In fact I just ordered a black pair of leather Birk shoes-that is how much I love them--think I might go for the birk sneakers too!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars The best pair of sandals I own, May 12, 2007

I have never owned a pair of birkenstocks until now. These shoes were a little umcomfortable at first, but then after wearing them for awhile they started to form to my feet. Now they are the best pair of sandals that I own. They are durable and flexible at the same time. I can wear them with most anything and they have good support for long walking for my feet. i would recommend these sandals to anyone. They have a nice style and they form to the foot type of your feet after wearing them in a little.

5.0 out of 5 stars Every bit as comfortable and durable as the pricier brand!, November 22, 2007
I really can't wear anything except the shoes made by the parent company of Betula and I wasn't at all sure that these would measure up. THEY DO! My feet (and back) cannot tell the difference and I like paying a fraction of the price of the others! You will not be disappointed.

2.0 out of 5 stars Don't compare to other Birkenstock Sandals!, September 30, 2007

I have been wearing Birkenstock, Papillio sandals for over 10 years. These Betula Sandals are not built the same. First, when I opened box, the smell of sandals is strong. Second, Made in China stamped on shoe. I looked at all the pairs I owned, all made in Germany. Third, after wearing all day, the sandal made my left second smallest toe hurt. I wear Birkenstock sandals everyday for over 10 years, never have I had any foot pain, until I purchased these. Also color of footbed and cork on these sandals as pictured above, is different than on the pairs I previously owned. Maybe China can't duplicate Germany's quality.

I have no idea how/if Betula differs from Birkenstock except in price. I've been wearing Birkenstocks for 15 years and I decided to try Betulas because they were "licensed" by Birkenstock, but less expensive. I've been very happy with their look, feel and quality and honestly, I really can't see the difference between the two. I will buy Betulas again.

5.0 out of 5 stars Betula sandals, May 7, 2007
I am so very happy with the Betula sandals.....every bit as happy as if I had spent the $100+ it would have cost me to get the Birkenstocks. They are as comfortable and look as good to me!! The service was very timely, as well. I couldn't be happier.
