For the most part, these are identical to Birks. The one problem I've had is the soles seem less durable - in just 2-3 mos. I've already worn through the heel edges to the cork, so I'll have to get heel taps to repair them. Usually I think Birks will last a year or so before wearing through to the cork.

I have two pairs of these sandals, replacing a similar pair ordered years ago from another source. Very comfortable, and should also last several years. Size chart instructions let me order the right size with confidence. The vendor shipped promptly. I received what I ordered, when I expected it, at the price I expected. One can't ask for more than that.

Although this product came marked Birko it is the same as the original Birkenstocks I have had in the past. It is the same fine product.

these betula sandals are soo comfortable. i spend a lot of my day walking, and these get me anywhere and everywhere. after just three days they formed right to my feet and i never want to take them off! the quality was surprising very durable, however during rainy/snowy days they'll get damanged so i suggest you don't wear them then. anybody who doesn't have a pair and is interested should definitely consider this pair, they're amazing! :)

These sandals are OK. 4 star quality of material which makes it pretty good, but the size system is completely off, so that makes me want to put it as 3 stars. I'm an 8, but i ordered a 7 and i still have some room to spare. I wish i could send it back and receive a 6 but too much work, and i guess i'll just deal.

**I feel that maybe a 6 would give me a firm size (one where theres somewhat no squirming ability), so thats why i decided to stick with a 7. I hope that this "size review" helps out a bit with your choice of size.**

If youre ordering these sandals be prepared to take one size down or two or else you'll feel foolish with such big sandals.

Besides that, the shape and form of the sandal is quite nice. Its quite comfortable, because after all it is a licensed birkenstock. Plus the price is right compared to the other birkenstocks. Thats why its moved up to 4 stars.

These sandals arrived promply. They fit and feel great. The soles formed to my feet in a couple of days. They are an inexpensive way to buy Birkenstock-like products and are of the same quality. Don't be fooled by any bad reviews.

I bought a pair of these about 5 years ago for $20 and wish I would have bought 5 more pairs. I quickly found out that they are the most comfortable sandals ever. I have flat feet and most sandals have a flat bottom causing my feet to ache if I walk very far but not these. These sandals have very nice arch support and after a while of wearing them, form to your feet.

I searched everywhere for these sandals and all I could find was the original Birkenstocks. I finally found these on Amazon. I'm sure the Birkenstocks are just as nice if not better, but at $80-$100, these are a much better buy.

The sandals are listed as "Betula Licensed by Birkenstock" but the sandals as delivered are "Basic Newalk Licensed by Birkenstock" and they are made in China. My old Betulas don't say Made in China. We'll see if these last as well as the Betulas.

I have several pairs of genuine Birkenstock sandals. The Betula sandals are clearly inferior. A light grade of leather is used for straps which makes them impossible to slip my foot into.

I wear them all the time this summer, to the stores, dining, doctors office anywhere they are great, comfortable and stylish. My feet stay cool in the heat and well protected at the same time unlike some sandals.
I highly recommend them.
