Understated, undermarketed, but captivating, June 4, 2008

Babybird's final album (for now), is a careful and beautifully crafted album. It avoids many of the weird excesses on his solo work, many of which are fun, but not very poppy. And ringing sardonic pop is Babybird's forte, so this album has many hooks and solid songwriting throughout. Stephen was seemingly annoyed that the marketing for this album failed, and it's too bad considering it's his best work in some time...
