The children loved the story and the art work, and I did as well. This is one of the those stories that I love reading at bedtime. We've been studying nature awareness in our homeschool, and this is one of the books we are using.

I purchased this book for my grandsons to learn about the culture and religions of Native Americans. At first they were so-so about this. Now, when I visit, they can't wait to tell me what they have learned. I don't know the historical accuracy of the book, all i know is it has generated a respect for and an interest in the children to learn more about our Native Americans. Mission accomplished!

My daughter can't seem to sit still through this (we've had it a year now, and she's 5), but I summarize the stories pretty quickly and she loves looking at the beautiful pictures

This book has beautiful photographs and lovely poems about places and is aesthetic treat. It does not have long descriptions of places with explanations but is a series of small spiritual snapshots.
