Between Father Sky and Mother Earth is a mystical blend of instrumentals, haunting vocals, and the otherworldly sound of the Native American flute. Many different musical heritages are represented here, including Navajo, Lakota, Apache, Comanche, Kiowa, Mohican, Zuni, and Cherokee. Each song has a story to tell, some with words, some with music and the sounds of nature. This is music to awaken the spirit and soul.

If you have a strong interest in Native American music and culture, this is a great CD to buy. This CD gives a very good overview of the vast range of styles represented by Native American music. Some of the great Native flutists, such as Douglas Spotted Eagle, the Native Flute Ensemble, Bill Miller and R. Carlos Nakai, are represented on this CD. Also on this CD are a handful of healing songs from Primeaux, Mike & Attson of the Native American Church. Plus, theres a brilliant fusion of Native American music and jazz Mel Adams, Cynthia Jeffereson and Charles Jefferson!

I first bought the cassette back in the 90's (in college), and was blown away, and so I recently had to buy the CD to replace that cassette (I haven't been able to find it since I moved!). This was also my first intro to the harmonies of Primeaux, Mike & Attson, and I now have a collection of their works. Great stuff, and very moving!

This music is soul searching and soul lifting.If you've had a bad day you very well can put this music on and go on a journey far away from your problems.It is a new age type of music using the native american flute,very meditative and relaxing.

this is muy second copy of this cd it is the best and my all time favorite for everything.

You should have this CD to complete your Native American Collection, Or to start one. You will enjoy this CD very much.
