Jonathan Alter Shares His Opinions and Personal Struggles,

This review is from: Between the Lines; A View Inside American Politics, People, and Culture (Hardcover)
Newsweek columnist Jonathan Alter has provided us with a choice selection of his columns written since the early 1990s. The book is divided into eight sections ranging from history, articles on politics including the Bushes and Clintons, another on people such as Jimmy Stewart, Frank Sinatra, and such controversial individuals as Tom Delay and Rush Limbaugh. A very personal article deals with his bout beginning in 2004 with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. Alter vividly relates the personal stress this places on one battling cancer. I enjoy hearing Alter's comments on MSNBC and reading this newly released book gives me an even greater appreciation for his work. This book is a learning experience well worth your time.
