5.0 out of 5 stars Let it inspire you
Some people are turned off by musicianship this extreme. I don't think it's right to ask DaVinci to hold back his talent, just so you won't be intimidated. Let it inspire you.
This is not normal music. Exceptional things never are normal . . .
Fans of Vai, Buckethead, Dream Theater, or anything great in prog-fusion MUST OWN THIS DISC! That's all. It is a...

3.0 out of 5 stars Intriguing, not interesting...
My introduction to this band came on Pandora's "Planet X" radio and the songs they had in rotation blew me away. It's a shame that those songs (Test, Time Out, Latitude, Invisible) were the peak of this album that seems to be reaching for greatness but never fully comes to realization. I am a big fan of technical playing but there is a serious lack of variety between the...

Fans of Vai, Buckethead, Dream Theater, or anything great in prog-fusion MUST OWN THIS DISC! That's all. It is a musical event so singularly unique, relevant, and widely unheard, that I have a very hard time comparing it to anything directly.
I wait eagerly to hear of these boys' next offering . . .

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing, but not for everyone, March 7, 2009
This review is from: Between the Music & Latitude (Audio CD)
Can't believe this disc isn't more well known. It's not for everyone, because it's all about technical prowess and is not very accessible at all. But it is extremely original, amazing music by three of the most talented unknowns I've yet come across. If you like technical metal, jazz, funk, fusion . . . buy this awesome disc.

Got the CITRINITI "Between the music and latitude" cd, i never heard a similar thing 'til now! Very intricate stuff like Danilo and Domenico unique cool section and very rare to find it today! I think this is the best Italian product and musicians i heard in these last 10 years! To buy it absolutely! The prog fans will be very glads to hear it.
Keep on rockin' guys!

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic seller, fantastic album, February 2, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)

Citriniti along with Fabrizio Leo are the most underrated fantastic group of musicians I've ever stumbled upon (courtesy Pandora and my undying love for unique and remarkable bass lines/players)

Seller was quick and item was new as claimed. Had a yellow post-it with a handwritten thank you on it. I couldn't ask for more.

3.0 out of 5 stars Intriguing, not interesting..., April 18, 2008

My introduction to this band came on Pandora's "Planet X" radio and the songs they had in rotation blew me away. It's a shame that those songs (Test, Time Out, Latitude, Invisible) were the peak of this album that seems to be reaching for greatness but never fully comes to realization. I am a big fan of technical playing but there is a serious lack of variety between the interchangeable songs. They attempt to add some keys and guitar synth to a few songs, but in the end it isn't anything to get excited about. Now that I'm finished with the critique, it's time for the praise.
On the positive side, fans of progressive instrumental should definitely hear the few select highlights of this album, they far outweigh the mediocrity of the other tracks. These musicians are definitely talented, and the pristine bass production of BtMaL let's you hear every twang of Domenico's mastery. I often find the haunting guitar melody and cool bass line of "Test" stuck in my head hours after listening :). Don't be fooled, this album may not be for everyone, but if you enjoy metal fusion it can definitely be a valuable addition to your pretentious collection.

1.0 out of 5 stars Stupid Music, July 26, 2007
This review is from: Between the Music & Latitude (Audio CD)
All chops and no soul. I bought this hoping to hear some fresh ideas by some highly touted players from Italy, what i got was a bunch of sterile technique and bad compositions. The guitarist is no doubt a dedicated guy with some serious chops but he sounds like he has ripped off Greg Howe but without the funk or feel. The tunes are reminiscent of some of Howe's earlier material as well, which is very boring, get your own ideas!!. The drummer sounds like Mike Portnoy after a case of Red Bull, scary. Dont waste your money on this.
