I have to say that I think her version of Between the Bars is even better than the original by Elliott Smith. I think it is because it is a woman singing maybe? Not sure I always imagined a woman singing the lyrics when I read them.
I am the type of person who doesn't mind remakes as long as they add in their own flavor or interpretation. If you also use these criteria then I think you will probably like the song as well, if you hate covers then there is nothing that can be done about that. |
