Considered a mandatory guide for good boiler water treatment,
By A Customer
This review is from: Betz Handbook of Industrial Water Conditioning. 9th Ed (Hardcover)
This book covers the basics of water treatment from the beginning of use to the end. It covers water constituents, impurities, clarification, ionization, etc. It also covers hot and cold use and treatment. Biological waste treatment and methods of treatment are also covered. The book gives fairly well detailed test procedures for boiler water samples and for cooling water samples. This is one of the best books available on the market for basic water treatment in a small setting.

WRONG EDITION!!!!,

This review is from: Betz Handbook of Industrial Water Conditioning. 9th Ed (Hardcover)
The page says the 9th Edition, which was written in 2001, for sale. Used and new starting @ $29.41. The catch is, all of the used books are earlier editions. Most are from the sixties. When I ordered the book, I expected to get the 9th edition. I received the 6th edition. What a joke. This is a total misrepresentation of the price. Amazon should be ashamed of this type of shady business tactic. Now I have to spend ~ $200 to get a new "9th" edition. Amazon should not have earlier editions on the same page. This is nothing more than 'bait and switch' tactics. Shame on you Amazon.

This book was written and published by a marketing company. The expertise of the Betz employees is poor.
