A real gem, September 15, 2007
This is a true gem of an album. Dates back to 1990, but hasn't got a wrinkle.
This album is often classified as easy listening. It sure is.
But discribing it only as such would be giving a very poor account of its qualities. I would rather classify it as 'compelling listening'.
This was the first Beverley Craven album, yet it doesn't sound a bit like a first, and even less does it sound like a twenty years old CD. Beverley's voice is absolutely wonderful, the music is fabulous, the arrangements close to perfection. The melodies will stay in your head, and the result as a whole makes for great listening indeed.
Over the years, I've actually bought several copies of Beverley Craven's three albums. I've found that the three of them make for an absolutely great present. I've yet to find a recipient who didn't like them. Actually, even years later, most still attest that this is a gift that they remember and care for, and that they keep cherishing these albums as among the best they own, just as I do.
Highly recommended.

Memories!, October 27, 2011
I remember discovering this wonderful CD one rainy afternoon while I was living in Rouen, France in 1993!!! She sang exactly the same way I felt that day & every single time I play it, I have the same reaction now as then! A wonderful artist & CD.

Timeless, October 15, 2009
I first heard Beverley when I was a Junior in college. My roommate from Istanbul, Turkey put her in our CD player one day and I was instantly in love with her voice. I am a black girl from a small town in Tennessee and have so many friend who've listened to the CD and ordered it. This CD is timeless. You will be able to listen to it 20 years from today and still love it. Her voice is pure and her lyrics are compelling. You can see what she sings, you can relate to the emotions in her voice. I've grown up on all types of music, thanks to my parents and I have shared Beverly with my 10 and 8 year old son and daughter. They love her. My daughter loves, "I listen to the rain", and my son loves "Promise Me". I happen to love every single song on this CD.
