5.0 out of 5 stars My favorite
No matter how silly this show gets I just still love it. I can't get enough of these shows. Great season, Brandon leaves which made me sad, Valerie, and Dylan comes back. Along with Venessa Martel as Gina...New drama new characters great show. Disappointed that the last episode only the 44 minutes long, I really enjoy a long finale.

Attention: This is a revieiw for the package, no the show.

I've been a fan of beverly hills since the beginning and since the show started to make its way to the dvd sets, I was delighted.

I had trouble accepting the horrible songs they've replaced the original soundtrack with, but I got used to. But now, I look at my dvd collection and I see huge sets for the first 8 seaons along with the individual cases per 2 discs, and I compare them to the 9th season, and I think, c'mon!

They have replaced the package for one that's half the size with horrible inserts for the discs. The summary for the episodes is written in a font size almost impossible to read. No to mention that you have to remove the first and last disc in order to read it!

It's a relieve that we have only one set to go to complete the collection (Ï'm counting on CBS to put the reunion as a feature on the last set,ey miracles can happen).

Thanks for reading.

I'm hopelessly addicted to watching 90210 while I sew! LOL I have all 10 seasons and just cycle through them. I think because I grew up watching them, it's kinda comforting. Pathetic, right? LOL That and I can watch with my ears and not so much my eyes.

Anyway, season 9 is great! Buy it!

3.0 out of 5 stars Not as good, April 25, 2010
This review is from: Beverly Hills, 90210: The Ninth Season (DVD)
I have to agree that this season wasn't as good as the others that I have. I was hoping that this season would be jam packed with stuff. But it wasn't some of the season I had to skip because they were so not worth watching. I hope that season 10 it a lot better because it is the last.

4.0 out of 5 stars Way Better Than I Expected, April 17, 2010
This review is from: Beverly Hills, 90210: The Ninth Season (DVD)
After a few lousy seasons with a lot of boring storylines, this season was great. The stories are more interesting, directed better, and some of them are really dark. One of the episodes, "Dogs Best Friend," features a very graphic and disturbing rape scene that I just couldn't believe was ever allowed to air on television. I didn't like that or Gina's throwing up in the toilet--I don't really want to see that stuff when I'm watching 90210. Dylan's back of course right after Brandon and Val leave (not together). Like other reviewers,. I was hoping for a two hour finale but the one we're left with is really awesome and ends with a bang. Literally.

This season is a definite must-have for all 90210 fans; Donna & Kelly open up a woman's boutique and the shopping & drama is just great

3.0 out of 5 stars Good, but to many goodbyes and hellos., August 18, 2011

Well this season was pretty much the one that started losing steam, until season 10 which was actually pretty good. This was a lot like the singers for Black Sabbath, you really needed to keep a score card to see who was in, and out. First in Episode 5, Brandon leaves, who was a pivetal character in the show. Actually he was the last of the original cast that the show was suppose to revolve around. First went Brenda(which most didn't care), then the parents, now Brandon. So moving on this season also saw the departure of the evil, seductive beauty, Valerie, which was also dissapointing. In her place came the beautiful but not quite as fitting, Vanessa Marcil. Then as soon as Brandon left, Dylan comes back, but for some odd reason is only considred a special "guest star" in the show. I'm not sure why because he's in every episode. I think they brought him back because the only original cast without him are, Donna, Kelly, David and Steve, which definitely were not enough to carry the show, and it's weight. The episodes are pretty good, a few interesting twists, mainly because of Dylan(Luke Perry), but we have been down this road before, just with different people. So all in all it's a good season, but just to many people coming and going. I'll bet the guys who make the opening music cut scene were like omg, make up your minds already!! Also i do beleive the chinese/american girl left this season as well, because they had to many women in the cast. There are usually 8 full characters, and at one time i think there were 7, if you look on the box here there are 9. So i believe that's why actors got cut. Season 10 was pretty good but still lacked the umph in the end. So i can't hate any season of 90210, since i was a teenager growing up in that time period and it was my favorite show.

Now that i'm 36, it may not be as relavant, but a good watch none the less. I ripped mine all onto my computer, much easier to sort through the seasons that way. So enjoy this, it's not bad, but just lacking in some ways, strong in others. I just hate when original cast members go, and i feel Brandon should have been there till the end, and AT the end. Which he was neither. Him and Dylan could have rekindled things and made the show stunningly great.

NOTE:They don't include Noah Hunter, and the new lawyer dude on the front of the box. So that makes 11. Odd i know.

I was annoyed when I saw that the ninth season of Beverly Hills 90210 comes in a one case plastic package. Now I have eight same type seasons and the ninth is different. On and all, another great interesting and worthy season.

It's better than the previous season, but it's still not enough to please. Plus the season ends with a major cliffhanger. Newcomer, Gina is OK but Dylan McKay became a real joke (worst than on season 5) and should have never came back. No need to mention it, the music is still bad and even, beyond horrible I might add (we don't have songs with a voice and lyrics anymore, just elevator music they used several times through the whole season, maybe 4 or 5 of them are "real" songs, but that's it. (thank god they kept one or two musical guests from the original airings!...). Let's hope season 10 will satisfy me (both serie and DVD quality).
