Bev has been a consultant to organizations, managers and individuals bringing clarity, focus, integrity and a sense of purpose to her work. She has over 35 years of experience in a full range of organization and management development consulting in the for-profit and the non-profit sectors. She estabished her independent consulting practice, Bev Scott Consulting in 1996. Prior to that, Bev served for fifteen years as the Director of Organization and Management Development for McKesson Corporation. Her consulting work has focused on organizational change and team and leadership development.
Bev has written on the subjects of employee involvement, change and communication including a book on "Quality Circles". She served as editor of Vision/Action, the professional journal for the Bay Area Organization Development Network for five years. She is the author of "Consulting on the Inside: An Internal Consultant's Guide to Living and Working Inside Organizations" published in 2000. It has been one of the best sellers for the publisher, the American Society for Training and Development. The second edition, "Consulting on the Inside: A practical guide for internal consultants" was co-authored with B.Kim Barnes and published in 2011.
Bev has been active in both the local and national OD Network and served on the Board of Trustees for the National ODN Board including chair for 2 years. She has presented her work at her own professional meetings and served as a speaker and facilitator for many other professional associations. She has a Masters degrees in Sociology and in Human Resource Development. She is currently writing a historical novel based on the lives of her grandparents.
