cute, January 13, 2011
This review is from: Beware of Dug! (Pictureback(R)) (UP Movie Tie In) (Paperback)
I got this for my little niece since she loves dogs. It chronicles Dug's point of view in the animated feature, Up. The artwork is great and its a cute story for kids that will encourage them to look at the movie from Dug's point of view. Good companion to the movie.

Not a Great Story, But Great Fun For Dug Fans, December 29, 2010
This review is from: Beware of Dug! (Pictureback(R)) (UP Movie Tie In) (Paperback)
Our five year old is a big fan of Dug, one of the characters in
the recent Pixar movie, Up. She was delighted to get this book. Other young fans of Up or Dug would be too, but most other kids would probably find it a little dull.
Using simple, cute artwork that resembles cut-out collages, this book basically tells the story of the first two-thirds of the movie as seen through the eyes of Dug. Over the course of the story, Dug, a loveable but underestimated dog, meets the other main characters, befriends them, and helps them to make their first escape from the villain and the other dogs.
As I said, my daughter is a Dug fan and loves having a story about Dug to go with her
Dug plush animal, but I couldn't give the book more than three stars. First, the writing is a little basic. Second, given that they were re-telling the movie, I'm not sure why Disney didn't just add 3 or 4 pages and finish the story. In my opinion, both of those would have added a lot.

Great for your little "UP" lover!, December 28, 2009
This review is from: Beware of Dug! (Pictureback(R)) (UP Movie Tie In) (Paperback)
This charming (and affordable) little book is well illustrated and perfect for the little one who loves the movie "UP". I gave this to my grandson for Christmas and he almost fell over (he's 4). It's the perfect length for a bedtime story.
