5.0 out of 5 stars TOTALLY COOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL
Purple peanut butter is an excellent book!!!!!!! R.L. Stine has done some EXCELLENT work. But be careful which path you choose. If you choose the purple peanut Nora might be bigger than you ,but if you choose the cake, you could end up getting too big for your boots. Buy this book and have hours of fun!

Attention Goosebumps Fans: BUY THIS BOOK!!!!! This is my #1 Favorite Book in the Whole Wide World! You are going to your grandma's house for vacation. When Barney and Dora (little brats) play their version of hide-and-seek (whoever's "it" get's to punch anybody!) and guess what? Barney's it! You frantically hide in the basement (where your grandma told you to stay out of!). You are starving! You find this old refigerator that's plugged in! Trying not to get your hopes up too high, you find jelly & chocolate cake in there. If you eat either one, strange stuff starts happening to you....

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the best books of this series., June 29, 2006
This review is from: Beware of the Purple Peanut Butter (Give Yourself Goosebumps, No 6) (Paperback)
The Give Yourself Goosebumps gamebook series are usually very fun and enjoyable to read. This book however, is no different. It is a great book that involves a really strange plot, but in a good way. This book is more fun than some of the other books in the series. Some of the situations can be very exciting and can bring forth suspense. If you are new to the Give Yourself Goosebump series I recommend buying this book first. You have my guarantee that you will absolutely love it.

A story of both shrinking and growing, depending on what "magic" item you happen to eat. If you shrink you fight and sometimes end up finding yourself stuck in a giant world. If you grow, you run and may just get stuck in a tiny world. Strangely, while this story does explain the problem of growing or shrinking too large, there are no possibilities of you getting eaten. I think that pictures would help the story but that isn't something that you get to see in this series.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Great Snack Attack!, June 25, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Beware of the Purple Peanut Butter (Give Yourself Goosebumps, No 6) (Paperback)
When your aunt and uncle tell you to stay out of the basement, do you listen? No way! When you get into the basement, you're really hungry. You open the fridge door. Inside are 2 jars: One contains some purple peanut butter. It smells really good. But if you eat it, you start shrinking! The other jar contains stale choclate cake. It doesn't have any smell. If you eat it, you start shrinking! It's all up to you in this great adventure! I like this book because I'm the star of the story and that there are tons of great endings. It's a really great book!

I highly recommend this terrifying book! You're visiting your relatives and you find an old refrigerator in your basement. Will you eat the chocolate cake or the jelly? (If you eat the jelly, you're nuts) Packed with action and adventure, this book is thrilling to readers young and old.
