5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent handling of the topic
Pastor Randles has done a straight-forward job of discussing the "new" religious movements of today's Pentecostal/Evangelicals. Well documented scripture references have been the basis of his every arguement. He has made an excellent case for his point. The book is well worth reading by any Christian who is serious about his walk with Christ.

1.0 out of 5 stars What a mess. How sad. Very inaccurate.
Unfortunately the author appears to not have had any direct contact with Sharon Schools and Children's Homes here at North Battleford, Saskatchewan, site of the Revival of 1948, which still continues today. His research is flawed and cannot stand up. His information is inaccurate and does not tell the real story. Greetings from Sharon Schools and Orphanage at North...

4.0 out of 5 stars Addressing the Prophetic, February 23, 2008

This review is from: Beware The New Prophets (Mass Market Paperback)
I thought the handling of this issue was done very well. Pastor Randles was able to address the biblical perspective on the gift of prophecy, without having to base his arguments in philosophy or subjective experience. For those involved with the Kansas City movement, or were involved with the Latter Rain movement, this will give you a new perspective on how these so called "prophets" stand up to the test of scripture.

1.0 out of 5 stars What a mess!, April 2, 2002
This review is from: Beware The New Prophets (Mass Market Paperback)
This book is a total mess, completely inaccurate from an historical perspective. The Latter Rain references are totally misleading. The author seems to have had no actual contact with the Sharon Orphanage and Schools at North Battleford, Saskatchewan where the movement began in 1948 and continues even now. His information is not reliable and is so "off" that I cannot recommend this sad attempt at being scholarly. PLEASE rewrite. Check your facts. I am a teacher/professor of Latter Rain Movement history in a Bible College and Seminary.
