Good short science fiction,

I liked this interesting science fiction short story about a know-it-all scientist with a bad temper who volunteers for a dangerous space mission because he's afraid his temper will end up hurting his wife. Besides the dated nature of the psychology in this book (why didn't they just send him to anger management), it's a really stellar sci-fi story.Beware the Fury was originally written in 1953, and has been retitled "Extrapolation." It's also available in the compilation of Sturgeon's Bright Segment: Volume VIII: The Complete Stories of Theodore Sturgeon. In that book, it's only 20 pages long, so it's a pretty short short story. For what it is, it's great.

not a book :-/,

The story itself is good, and I hate puttimg a one-star ratimg to anything with Sturgeon's name attached. But the description reads as if it were a book when it is most certainly not. Buyer beware.
