5.0 out of 5 stars Bewitching
I watched this movie three times in theaters before buying the soundtrack. Don't make the same mistake, buy this at once.
Basically the best tracks are 1. Perspherone Bees City of Love

3. Kristen Chenewith Witchy Woman
4. Frank Sinatra Witchcraft (Don't particular like Sinatra, but this track was suprisingly well done)
6.Steve Lawrence...

3.0 out of 5 stars Fun Collection...way better than the film!
Skip the film and but the DVD of the TV Series Season One. As far as the music goes, this is a fun little collection of assorted "witchy" music. Nothing out of this world original or amazing, but a fun compilation of familiar tunes that will come in handy when you're stuck in the freeway and in need of some toe tapping.

3. Kristen Chenewith Witchy Woman
4. Frank Sinatra Witchcraft (Don't particular like Sinatra, but this track was suprisingly well done)
6.Steve Lawrence Bewitched (Sounds rather like Sinatra)
7.R.E.M Everybody Hurts

Overall, the soundtrack is more swing jazz then anything else, but very sweet to listen to, and pleasent on the ears. I recommend this to anyone who loves good music.

Noteworthy are Ella Fitzgerald's jazzy spin on DING DONG THE WITCH IS DEAD and Steve Lawrence's swingin' version of the TV theme song.

5.0 out of 5 stars A fabulous soundtrack, October 29, 2005
This review is from: Bewitched (Audio CD)
When I saw Bewitched, I knew I had to get the soundtrack. The soundtrack is filled with great songs and is a great cd to add to your collection!

1.City of love by Persephone's Bees-the song that plays in the opening credits. I love this song and this was partly why I wanted the cd.

2.And she was by Talking Heads- another great song. I vaguely remember hearing this before but I never realised how great this song is. It's one that I'll probably put on repeat.

3.Witchy woman by Kristin Chenoweth- I absolutely love this song. I have admired Kristin's voice before but after hearing this song, I ordered her 2 cds from amazon.com. By the way, Kristin plays Maria in the film.

4.Witchcraft by Frank Sinatra- a great standard by a legend.

5.Escape(The Pina Colada song) by Rupert Holmes- the song just makes you want to dance and sing to it loudly.

6. Bewitched by Steve Lawrence-whenever I listen to this, I always think of the scene where this plays. It's a great song.

7. Ding dong! The witch is dead by Ella Fitzgerald- a song from a classic movie sung by another legend

8.L-O-V-E by Natalie Cole- yet another fabulous song!

9.Dancing on the perimeter by The Actual- the only song I could have done without on the soundtrack. I'll probably end up skipping this one.

10.Everybody hurts by R.E.M.- a really good song.

11.'Bout time by Louis Armstrong- what can I say? Great song.

12. Every little thing she does is magic by The Police- a song that makes you want to dance

13. I love you, Samantha by Bing Crosby and Louis Armstrong- a fabulous way to end the cd.

Even if you didn't really like the movie, this is an excellent cd to add to your collection.

A nice relaxing soundtrack with songs about love. Contains the catchy opening score "City of Love" from the movie. It's nice to have a soundtrack full of old romantic tunes. Easy listening for everybody.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing., August 7, 2006
This review is from: Bewitched (Audio CD)
The movie, Bewitched, is truly a bewitching movie to say the least. I adore it incredibly and the music chosen was perfect for the movie. City of Love and 'Bout Time I feel are wonderful songs, just lovely for the selection. I like especially jazz and swing genres which was what many of the songs are based around in this soundtrack.

**Great cd to all who aren't quite sure and are contemplating buying it, if you enjoyed the movie, you can take it with you wherever you go in your cd player or your mp3 player with the music from the title.

5.0 out of 5 stars BEWITCHING!!!!, April 18, 2006
This review is from: Bewitched (Audio CD)
I love the series Bewitched, and also the movie. Nicole Kidman is perfect for this part, and I adored ever moment of this movie! Clearly the best song on this soundtrack are "Every Little thing she does is Magic" by the police. That is by far, the BEST song EVER! The music in this film clashed wonderfully with the subject, and I listen to this soundtrack over and over again!

3.0 out of 5 stars Yeah, but where....??, July 21, 2005
This review is from: Bewitched (Audio CD)
Every track on the album ranges from fine to terrific. But while watching the movie, I was wildly disappointed by the choice of Persephone's Bees' wildly dreary "City of Love" for a Main Title-certainly didn't get us off to a flying start. I was expecting the jazzy and updated arrangement of the TV theme used for the theatrical trailer. Though happy to actually find it used in the film (during the "new" TV series opening), I am very disappointed that it is not on the soundtrack album. In this day and age when we love our discs (CD or DVD) because they give us that extra something that most people might not think about, it is very disheartening to know that the album producers couldn't have included that one cut (and how about the original TV arrangement as well?) above all others.

The overall CD was pretty good and I enjoy listening to it. Kristin Chenoweth, who is in the movie, does an outstanding version of "Witchy Woman". I listened to that over and over. It's a great soundtrack and I think anyone could like this music.

5.0 out of 5 stars Buy the CD, not the movie, July 31, 2006
This review is from: Bewitched (Audio CD)
I love this CD with the great mix of old and new songs. However this movie was a total mess, I kept hoping Darrin would get turned into a frog (or something) and left that way. He irritated the heck out of me!
