Book Description

February 28, 2006

Popular author Donna Fletcher completes her identical twin sisters series in this spellbinding story about a man's fight for the love of his life.

Rogan of the Wolf clan needs a healer to cure a relentless illness that is claiming the lives of his people. Hearing of Aliss's legendary healing skills, he abducts her from her clan Hellewyk. Distraught by the kidnapping and fearing she will never see her pregnant twin sister again, Aliss strikes a bargain with the wolf. She agrees to help him only if he will return her home after she mends them.

Despite the circumstances, as Aliss settles in with Rogan's clan, the unlikely pair begins to fall in love. All is well until she learns the true reason Rogan abducted her. Aliss was to be ransomed for property rightfully belonging to the Wolf. Although Aliss feels the fool for being so easily led and caught in the Wolf's trap, it is Rogan who is ensnared and who now must prove his love for her means more than anything else in his life.

About the Author

Part of the fun in writing, Donna Fletcher admits, is doing the research. But it is with her characters that she has the most fun. She loves giving life to fresh characters and feels their excitement as they face the pleasures and pitfalls of falling in love.

Donna's own adventures have taken her to England, Ireland, and Scotland. She has walked the fields where battles were fought centuries ago, toured haunted castles, stood where beheadings were commonplace, explored the mystic mounds of long ago, and collected a plethora of memories and research that will live long in her heart and mind. She also loves exploring and photographing old abandoned homes, and she often takes long walks in the woods with camera in hand. She feels her life is rich and full, having three terrific sons, two fantastic daughters-in-law, an endless supply of friends, a loving dog, and a crazy, black, one-eyed cat named Bear.

4.0 out of 5 stars engaging sixteenth century romance, February 28, 2006
This review is from: The Bewitching Twin (Mass Market Paperback)
In the middle of the sixteenth century Scotland, Rogan the Wolf has renowned healer Aliss abducted from her family because a terrible stomach ailment is causing havoc amidst his clan. Aliss at first assumes the worst about the barbarian, but once she realizes his people really need her skill, she rolls up her sleeves to try to heal them. He vows to her that once she heals his villagers, she will go home.

Rogan is shocked by her courage as he always heard her sister Fiona was THE DARING TWIN while Aliss is stunned by his kindness and caring towards his people as she heard he was no better than a beast. As they work together with her trying to figure out the cause of the illness, Rogan and Aliss fall in love. She knows her family especially Fiona would never accept Wolf as her mate though a marriage to him would end the curse that her clan fears will harm them.

Though lacking some of the mystery that turned THE DARING TWIN into a terrific historical romance, THE BEWITCHING TWINS is an engaging sixteenth century romance starring two intriguing protagonists. Readers will enjoy the changing relationship between Rogan and Aliss as he wonders who has captured whom. The story line can stand alone though most fans will prefer to read the other twin's tale first. Donna Fletcher provides a fine tale that hopefully will follow up with the non-twin sibling's story soon.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Bewitching twin, October 5, 2008
This review is from: The Bewitching Twin (Mass Market Paperback)
Loved it! But you need to read all of Donna Fletchers novels to get a better understanding of the story. It picks up where 'The Daring Twin' left off. Donna is a talented writer who makes you not want to put her books down, so I read this one in a day!

4.0 out of 5 stars Weaker becomes the Stronger, September 6, 2007
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: The Bewitching Twin (Mass Market Paperback)
I bought both of the twin books, and liked them both but I thought the bewitching twin the best of the two. All through the frst book Aliss was the demure quiet twin leaning on her sister for direction, but I think between the two of them Aliss was the stronger more mature and definitely had more depth to her personality. I liked Rogan also ,and was completely thrown when it became known that he was Tarr's half brother. The story was cute and holds your attention.
