I picked up the first book of this series because this is the type of book I enjoy. Glad I did! This is the third installment and the main character is starting to feel the pressure of re-building the nation and is getting sick of having to deal with a sprouting political machine. So, when one of his best operatives goes missing (there is more to it than that but it would spoil it for you), he decides to lead the team to recover her. Turns out it was a trap (go figure)... and he is transported to another alternative universe where his double has died and they need his help. There is way more to it than that and it can be a pretty dark novel at times (like any end of the world book). Make sure you buy the first two and read them before this one as you will not have any idea what is going on otherwise.

So far i have enjoyed this series immensely. The characters are well written and if you have a love for battle and mysteries involving aliens and multiple dimensions, then def this is your book. If you are more into just straight battle and gore without much reasoning, then of course you will be bored with this find. Books 4 and 5 will hopefully be out by the end of the year so I am eagerly awaiting them. This guy def is up there with John Ringo when it comes to military SciFi. Def looking forward to the next books!!!

Like the first reviewer I saw the first and read the 3 published so far. Twists and turns. A politico who is looking to his own ends rather than the future for the whole planet (Theres a surprise!!).
Great plot, well written, a book that pulls you in

Book IV Schism is due September. I can't wait

Ranks up there with some of Heinlein and Asimov's best work. I could not put down the adventures of Trevor and his lieutenants.

This entire series of books was a little outrageous. Also, this isn't a book that you can pick up and read without having read the preceding volumes. I think this volume and the entire series would have been improved with fewer monsters that could then be better developed. That being said, I did purchase and read all 5 books in the series...

I read mostly sci-fi/fantasy books and IMO, this series is some of the best I have read. It ranks right up there with the "In Her Name" series. The characters are exciting and the author changes up the pace and storyline just enough to make you not want to put the book down. The parallel universe plot line was an expected twist, but the author really pulled it off. The series could use better proofreading due to all the errors, but I still give it five stars. On to book IV.

Buy the books and read the books. The story gets better with each book. Now moving on to his next series.

Without getting to deep into the story I just wanted to say I really enjoyed the book. If you like this genre you are going to have trouble putting it down. I would recommend.

I enjoyed the story twist in this segment of the saga. It allowed the author to show new aspects of several characters in a unique way.
