I sent this book back. It says it is beyond basics but I didn't feel it was very far beyond basic. I didn't see anything not in other basic books on beading. If you don't own a basic book, this one would be a good choice. I was looking for more and didn't find it in this book.

I wasn't impressed with this book and was actually bored. It's more geared to a beginner who wants to learn something unusual or beginning beadweaving. However, I did like the necklace on the front cover, the necklace on the back cover, and the twin serpentine bracelet on page 119. That's about it. The other designs were very strange, or simple, or gross colors. Personally I wouldn't wear any of the authors designs except the three listed above. Most likely I will gift this book to my granddaughter.

This book was very, very, basic. It didn't have anything of interest for me. I am new to Polymer Clay, but this book still didn't offer exciting ideas. It might be great for other artists.

Had I been able to look through this book before purchasing, I would

not have bought the book. The cover project is the only thing of interest in the entire book.

I bought this book sight unseen because I have her book on RAW with another publisher which is excellent and also this publisher does usually good work. So I was disappointed but am still hopeful that it might prove helpful later. She did a book earlier with hardware type beads which I didn't like because they're ugly and she continues to use them in this book. Another bead she does is a two hole bead which I haven't found so that is useless for me too. I probably will make her crystal cube earrings in RAW. I like her designer mix bracelet in peyote, square stitch bracelet with cubes, netted necklace and serpentine bracelet and right angles and ladders bracelet. Her final section on cabochons with the necklace and earrings looks good too. But most of these projects that I like are similar to others I've found in my magazines or books so this is not a first purchase book unless you're a beginner. Her instructions are well diagrammed so this could be used as a textbook. Next time she writes a book, I'll have to look at it before buying.
