"Land Beyond La Belle Riviere" is a story of love, romance, adventure and facing one's destiny in a time when our land was new. Maggie, the heroine of Riviere, is a woman of strength and courage. She faces tremendous obstacles in her walk through life, but she never gives in or gives up. This story takes the reader from life in the mid-1800's along the banks of the majestic Ohio River to the years after the Civil War. It is a personal saga of one Ohio River Valley family and how they lived, grew and loved. Discovering that this historical romance was about the homeland I love made the story that much more appealing. If you enjoyed "Gone with the Wind," "Titanic" and "Far & Away" then you will LOVE "Land Beyond La Belle Riviere." |
