Penelope Lively tells a variety of short stories each of which is somewhat lacking in the depth of detail found in many other short stories, but which provides just enought detail to enable us to understand the human drama which unfolds. Those who enjoy British Drama and humour will find this entertaining. On occasion thought-provoking, but generally just a good light read.If you like these you will probably also enjoy the Jeffrey Archer collections of short stories. |
