Great Resource for Vestries,

Beyond Business as Usual does a good job of pointing clergy and vestries to the idea that the work is not the work, it's in building community and relying on God to transform individuals and communities. It's a short read, and a quick one, good to share with others. Some of the resources are usable/teachable right away (such as the Four Leadership Tasks everyone should know).

Beyond Business As Usual is a positive way of moving forward. This concise, well written book provides spiritual direction for all baptized persons engaged in vestry ministry. Warning, if used as directed this book will change the status quo. Our vestry has made a yearlong commitment to use the guidance provided. We can already see a transformation taking place. I highly recommend this excellent work of love.
