I knew the book before I ordered it. I bought it for a friend who admired it. It is a wonderful book, and the price was more than fair.

I've used this cookbook for family dinners, entertaining, holiday cooking, and more. I've never been disappointed! From simple to moderately complex, the recipes I've tried have always produced good results.

Even better, the recipes use every day ingredients to achieve their results.

Highly recommended for anyone interested in reliable food for any occasion.

As its title suggests, this cookbook presents both tried-and-true and updated recipes that will appeal to kosher and non-kosher cooks alike. The type is clear and easy to read and the recipes are realistic for today's cook, both in terms of ingredients and time involved. There are no gorgeous photographs of what the finished dish should look like - but then again, it never does! My daughter uses the recipes to impress her new boyfriend, and I use them to relieve the terminal boredom of preparing yet another meal
