I subscribed to the web version of Beyond Diet on a trial program. I then went on a physician monitored program and after 2 weeks and 3 attempts to contact them, I have heard nothing. A fraud in my opinion.

The concept is great, but their favorite trick is to give you some tease of information like "don't ever eat this food if you want to lose weight..." Then you spend countless internet data hours watching a boring video to find out that all they are doing is trying to get you to buy some foolish product they are selling.

Beyond diet is nothing but explaining to you the common sense approach to diet and exercise. I was bored with the diet I was on, and ordered this one to give me a jump start, only to find out that I already knew most of the information I was given. If you do not have much information already on diet, exercise, and balance of foods, then yes, there is much you can glean from this diet program. But don't bother with the newsletters... The regular, e-mail 'newsletter' is nothing but hype - EVERY one of the messages touts a product that you just HAVE to have to complete your goal or pursue a specific problem. Go to the library...it's cheaper.

This book has again been a diet-saver, no thanks to the name copycat. Try the real thing. It worked for me in the eighties, when it was difficult to get the high fiber foods required. Beyond Diet is a program by Martin Katahn of the Vanderbilt University Weight Management Program. The book came out in 1984 and is still available today. I don't know why this Solutions company has usurped the name and ruined the reputation of the diet!!! I lost 30+ pounds on it easily when it first came out. I thought the ads for Beyond Diet were an extention of Katahn's, ending up with my purchasing expensive materials. Whatever is being touted now is worthless-I gained 3 pounds in week!!! When I unearthed my Katahn, I lost the 3 plus 3 1/2 in two weeks.

This is a great program. Although weight loss is a product of joining this program, it's more the by product. The key things you would take away from this are lifestyle changes. You learn to be more conscious of your foods and what you feed your bodies. It's a great program if you really just want information to help guide yourself. It's not a program where they will hold your hand but they will guide you and the community for Beyond Diet is very supportive. A great resource there is also their database of recipes.

The book goes into detail, about scientifically proven research, on the best way to live in order to lose fat and keep from accumulating fat. Eat more often and do not deprive yourself of your guilty pleasures. It also has good tasting recipes including desserts. Walking or jumping on a trampoline for exercise, how simple is that.
