5.0 out of 5 stars Nicely done!
I really like this book, I just finished reading it a few hours ago. I really like the relationship brewing between Kade and Bree (Or will it be Nick and Bree? We'll have to see!) I also enjoyed the angsty twist Colleen added to the ending of this book. I'm a sucker for agnsty love! I can't say this enough -- I highly recommend this book! Buy it!

1.0 out of 5 stars No stars!
This is nothing but christian preaching! I highly resent that the description of these book does not indicate that. Total waste of money.

4.0 out of 5 stars Just as good as the First, January 7, 2005
This series is a keeper - one to read over and over again. This one is just as good as the first. Colleen keeps the pages turning till the end and then you are sorry the book is over. But thank goodness for a third book in the series.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great, addicted to the end!, August 26, 2004

Like the first in the series, I was addicted to this book right to the end. I took it everywhere with me and it was so hard to set it down until I finished.
Colleen Coble writes a suspenseful story set in the upper penninsula of Michigan. Her description is so beautiful, it makes me want to go there and visit. I live in Minnesota and have been along the north shore of Lake Superior many times and her descriptions make me think of that area.
If you like good Christian suspense with captivating characters that will keep you reading until the end, read this book!

5.0 out of 5 stars SOLID MYSTERY/SUSPENSE, WITH A DASH OF ROMANCE, AND A PINCH HERE & THERE OF FAITH. A SOLID RECIPE FOR A GOOD BOOK, July 1, 2009

(TOP 50 REVIEWER)
Book 2 of Colleen Coble's "Rock Harbor Series" titled "BEYOND A DOUBT" is even better than the 5-stars I gave my review of book one. This is an excellent MURDER-MYSTERY/SUSPENSE/CHRISTIAN-FICTION/ROMANCE series that is sure to please. It took me only about a week to get through this book, even while having a house full of family guests demanding consideration.

Fast paced, hard to put down (even for family), the mix of murder, arson, smuggling, and abduction is compacted into 293 pages. Amongst all this lawlessness is an ongoing struggle of a group of people, led by the main character for the series, Bree Nichols, and her newly found 4-yr. old son, plus her search-dog. So what's the struggle, besides bullets, and stalkers? The answer: personal issues faced by normal Christian people needing to seek forgiveness, let go of unfounded guilt, and trust in God for strength, peace, & healing. Not preachy, but interesting how it is woven into murder and smuggling plots.

As Bree's friend, Naomi, says, "Sometimes asking for forgiveness can be a daily thing." page 244.

Although the suspense has picked up a notch from book one, so does the in-depth look at the personalities of people at Rock Harbor. Especially the family connections and those with personal relationships with Bree. But will Bree ever see her own true (romantic) feelings for Wade?

New crimes entwined with old unsolved events that are rediscovered, become the basis for this continuing saga of a young woman of today, now a single parent, a struggling provider, dog lover, and beginning business entrepreneur, Bree.

Don't expect every aspect of her life, and the situations faced by her family and friends, to come to an abrupt happy ending. That's not real life. To quote Bree's own question on page 289, "How do you prepare someone for something like this?"

Answer: Make sure you have "Rock Harbor Series: Book 3" called "INTO THE DEEP" on hand or get a fast Kindle Edition. You'll want, like me, to read on in the 4-book series.

GOOD BOOK. GOOD SERIES. GOOD AUTHOR. GOOD MYSTERY. GOOD CHRISTIAN FICTION. GOOD GRIEF, BUY IT, AND ENJOY, ALREADY.

Colleen Coble knows how to spin a mystery. I enjoyed this and her first book "Without a Trace". This is a great series, so far. Can't wait to read more. These are "don't want to put them down" books, so try to find a day to get the book in without interuption, if you can.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Story, September 26, 2005
Colleen Coble's Beyond A Doubt has crisp storylines that are distinctive yet cleverly woven together. I didn't skim "ahead" because if I did, I missed something important.

If you love well written stories, with believable, heart impacting characters, read Beyond A Doubt. Read Collleen Coble.
