I had to doublecheck that "Blaze" was printed on it!,

Susan Kearney's "Beyond the Edge" definitely goes against Blaze's norm for erotic romance; yet, this is not a bad thing. Different things do it for different people and I applaud Kearney and Blaze for being willing to think outside of the box without crossing that line from "erotic romance" to "fetish erotica." Many times, now, in Blaze books there has been the theme of female dominance. If we are truly living in a liberated time for women we should be liberated enough to be comfortable with the respective desire to be dominated as well. I couldn't help but to think that if Blaze continues to prints stories along this line they may find themselves creating yet another line of Harlequin books in the category of "erotic futuristic romance."
The characters were believable and likable. I wanted to see them both get everything they wanted and more. I was also glad to find that the subplot of our hero going after a criminal at no time took precedence over the love story, thereby making it an Intrigue book rather than a Blaze book (which I have experienced before.) This book was sexy, steamy and a fast read.

Lover from the Future.....,
By
This review is from: Beyond The Edge (Harlequin Extreme Blaze) (Mass Market Paperback)
What was happening to her? Heiress Fallon Hanover had always been in charge - of a huge business empire, of her wayward family members. Until dark, disturbingly different Kane Kincaid literally exploded into her life with such sexual force, she had no means to fight him...even if she'd wanted to.
The strangely foreign man led her down a sensual path that both thrilled and frightened her. One by one Kane wore down her defenses, until he'd gained total control of her mind, her body, her heart. But when she'd satisfied all his needs, he demanded one more thing of her: to say goodbye. Because he had to go back to the future.

I have read several other books by this author and this book was just ok. I thought that it was very slow pased. I took a little to long to find out why he was there. Other than that I could handle the book, but it was force feed. But other than that the book was just ok for me. I know that everyone has their own points of view and reading preferences, but this was just my input to those as a forwarning.
