5.0 out of 5 stars incredibly helpful during one of lifes toughest times, July 1, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Beyond Grief: A Guide for Recovering from the Death of a Loved One (Paperback)
The death of my father was my first experience in the journey of grief associated with death. This book was given to me at the time of his death, and although there were a lot of tears to accompany the reading, it made me realize that I was not going crazy. It does not have a religious foundation, but deals more with your feelings, the stages of grief and how to help with recovery. When my stepson was murdered two years ago I reread the book and it was again very very helpful. I encourage everyone who is in need of understanding of the grieving process after a death, to read this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Thank You from the bottom of my heart, August 22, 2000
This review is from: Beyond Grief: A Guide for Recovering from the Death of a Loved One (Paperback)
After the death of my father, I read many grief books and I was extremely disappointed. My aunt gave me Beyond Grief and I was so pleased. It is truly the best book I've read on this subject. Ms. Staudacher's book is exceptionally written and provides immediate comfort. Beyond grief gave me a sense of peace and understanding that I haven't been able to get at this most challenging time of my life. I have since purchased her book for friends and survivors of loved ones who are eternally grateful as well. I am looking forward to reading A Time To Grieve.

This book makes it possible to understand one's own grief without having to surrender either emotion or intelligence. Elegantly and accessibly written. I have given many copies to friends.
