Interesting Exercises., March 10, 2011

I'm a big fan of Hewitt. I have most of his hypnosis books. This one is quite fun. This book mainly consists of 30 exercises to develop your psychic powers. Some of them are funny, some are weird, but most are quite helpful. You need to record the sessions to playback so you can do the visualizing that he has you do. This is not a problem for me since I have a very small mini studio where I make my own hypnosis audios. I think cassette recorders are available for pretty cheap nowadays so you could always go that route as well. But this is not a book you just read. There's work to do in it.
There is a lot of information in this book and I really felt that Hewitt was here, guiding me through the exercises and teaching me one on one. But that is his style of writing, which is why I'm such a fan. I had no unanswered questions while reading or completing the exercises. I felt safe doing whatever Hewitt asked in the exercise, even traveling out of our galaxy. I had some really eye-opening experiences.
I really like that this book has real exercises in it and I think the recording and playback add even more to it. Instead of just telling you how to increase your psychic awareness, Hewitt actually takes you through steps to get there. I can't think of any other book I've read on the subject that does that.
Overall, the exercises are helpful and fun. I'm not completely convinced that completing them will give anyone psychic powers but if you're into that sort of thing, I'd definitely recommend this book. With only ten more exercises to go, I am noticing my perceptions are sharper, more focused, and more in my control. I'm excited to see how far I get when I've gone through the cycle one more time.
