About the Author

Pam Vaccaro is a native St. Louisan who taught history for more than 25 years. She has been a food enthusiast for three decades and is an avid collector of culinary memoribilia. She researched Beyond the Ice Cream Cone for more than 20 years and used primary resources to capture the true experience of the 1904 World's Fair through the lens of food.

This is a terrific book for anyone interested in history, as well as anyone interested in food! Author has a wonderful way of capturing the importance of the fair, it's place in history, and a fascinating study of food. It's a fun read, and a real fieldtrip to the Fair!
