The highest compliment I can give to any music is that it makes me think and feel, irregardless of the number of times I've listened. The music, the words, the silences, they all give me goosebumps every time the cd spins in my player. My breath catches with the very first sound as I strain to hear every note, not wanting to miss a second of feeling. It has a familiar feel, but only because pain and loss and heartbreak are universal truths. What sets this album apart is the passion with which the songs are written and performed. Do yourself a favour, and move to Dallas so you can enjoy these songs as they were meant to be heard--live and alive. Otherwise, buy the cd and settle for a really good representation of some truly wonderful music.
