Got to be a joke January 28, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
I read this book, mostly for fun and I wasn't disappointed. This book reads as a comedy. The author just kind of endlessly rambles on and on about debunked and outdated stuff (most of the time not even being coherent or making any sense) that most trainers have left behind in the 80's. If you want a good laugh, though at the expense of the unfortunate dogs that this man "trains", then this book is for you. But if you want a book about dog psychology and training, then this book is a complete and utter waste of time and money.

More About the Author

When we try to pick out anything by itself, we find it is tied to everything else in the universe.

John Muir (1838-1914) U. S. naturalist, explorer.

In Our Own Image - The Inconvenient Truth about Dogs and Nature. Its core is the cognitive process and sharing between dogs and humans. Its methodology and foundations created and formed from the frustration and desperation of hundreds of dogs and owners. From the total surrender to nature with the willingness to have ones ideas and reality implode. This one of a kind guide to understanding dog behavior comes off the top rope and down onto the flawed ideas and concepts connected to behaviorism and ethology. It is the final count out from which science will not recover.

Dale McCluskey has over 18 years experience within the dog training field. In 1996 Dale's first Police Dog "Reuben" earned the distinction of becoming the youngest Police K-9 in Canada to locate narcotics. In 2006 Dale developed his own unique system of training based on deep insight into the dog and human dynamic. He currently resides in Saint Cloud, Florida where he continues to help dog owners achieve happy and balanced relationships with their dogs.
