From Library Journal
This is a dialog among "progressive" Americans, anti-Zionist Jews, Palestinian Arab-Americans who accept the existence of Israel, and Christians who have contacts with both communities. The focus is the current violence associated with the intifada in the Occupied Territories, and the essays are by turns thought-provoking, predictable, and scholarly. A more general companion would be World Faiths and the New World Order , edited by Joseph Gremillion and William Ryan (Center of Concern, Washington, D.C., 1978. o.p.). Still, this will be a welcome source to those interested in the Arab-Israeli conflict and peace studies as well as those looking for a religious perspective on Middle East politics.
