Laura Powers does it again. Legends of the Goddess II Beyond the Pale, has all the magic and beauty but is unique. Beyond the Pale has everything you could wish for. Her songwriting is poetry and if you liked the Mists of Avalon or Braveheart you will love this cd. I especially loved the Songs A Heart in Winter and Long Way Down. I cannot say enough to express how much I love her music, you simply must see for yourselves.

I may have a new favorite artist. The harmonies and light instrumentation blend to give the listener an aural caress that lasts for the whole album. I prefer music where the singer blends into the music and becomes one of the instruments instead of insisting on being the focus of the spotlight.

This cd continues where the first "Legends" cd left off, exploring the moods and myths of the Celtic goddess. Songs bring you to another time yet are contemporary as well--an interesting melding of worlds, spiritual and sensual. I like "Answer Me With Silence" and "Goddess of the Sea Mist" personally the best but there really are no sleepers here. "Long Way Down" is a touching song, kind of a memorial for a loved one who leaves a big space behind. That one gets me every time. Both cds are highly recommended. I have found that I play them often--it helps create a special mood.

I thought I had burned out on the Celtic "phase", then comes Laura Powers' two CDs. Not only a singer but an honest-to-God songwriter, too! I highly recommend both "Legends" CDs!

Laura Powers does it again, with her 2nd CD that proves to be as heart warming and mystical as the prior! Laura's voice allows you to connect with that part of your soul that opens up to the flowing and meaningful music that she creates. Dynamic and Soothing all in one! I can't say enough about Laura and her music, it will take you to a new level!!

If you want something a bit different by having a good mix of vocals, instruments and lyrics that you can understand, this is it! Ms. Powers' Beyond the Pale: Legends of the Goddess II CD offers something that is enjoyable and refreshing than the standard fare. Some of the songs just begin to "grow on you" the more you play them. Not your normal "Top 40" , here today, gone tomorrow. A very nice follow up release to Ms. Powers' CD, Legends of the Goddess.

The music is amazing. It's very relaxing and enjoyable. If you like this genre of music, this is an excellent choice.

Laura sings so beautifully. You feel you really are in another world. Do not compare her to other singers. How boring is that? If you want to hear the same old stuff, than buy that stuff. This singer takes you to a whole new level. You feel you are in Ireland and Old England long, long, time ago. The legends of the ancients go flowing to you. How wonderful is that? Laura sings like no one else and I like that.
