Editorial Reviews

From Library Journal

Badly in need of a vacation, successful New York attorney Cat Browning accepts a friend's invitation to rural eastern Oregon and ends up being swept off her feet by the charming son of a local rancher. But when tragedy strikes and Cat finds herself both widowed and pregnant, she stays in Oregon, eventually falling in love once more?this time with her rugged, caring father-in-law. Fast paced and well crafted, this compelling story is an intriguing blend of women's fiction and romance, combining action with a remarkable love story in an unusual, but definitely rural American setting. Readers who enjoyed Nora Roberts's Montana Sky might like this one. Bickmore (Deep in the Heart, Kensington, 1996) lives in Mexico.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good book, but not her best!, October 21, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Beyond The Promise (Hardcover)
I am an avid reader of Barbara Bickmore books. "The Moon Below" was the best book I have ever read and I have managed to find all of her books but one. "Beyond the Promise" characters are interesting and believeable and the plot has its twists and turns which keeps your interest until the end. My daughters have read the book and they all liked it. Of course, we are waiting for her next book...out when???

5.0 out of 5 stars I could not put it down!, September 24, 1998

I loved this book! The descriptions of the Oregon landscape made me feel I was there. I cared deeply for the sympathetic characters and their compelling stories. I've laughed and cried through many wonderful Barbara Bickmore novels, and loved them all ... but this one is my favorite. Thanks, Ms. Bickmore ... and keep them coming!

5.0 out of 5 stars Couldn't put it down!, June 11, 2003
This review is from: Beyond the Promise (Hardcover)
This is the first book by Barbara Bickmore that I have read. I could not put it down. Excellent story. It talks about real life situations and feelings. I would highly recommend reading it, but not when you have to go to work the next day.
