Lisa is a young widow who is forced to examine the relationships she had and has with her late husband, a take charge daughter, protective friends, and co-workers. Just when she thinks everything in her life has fallen apart, a new man enters her life and teaches her that is is okay to feel, to love, and to be happy.

It was hard not to keep reading from page one of this emotionally charged book - and by the last page, I felt better for having known Lisa.

Ms. Hill did a terrific job and I look foward to reading more of her works.

What an emotional and yet an inspirational story. It was one of those stories that made you want to cheat and read ahead to see what happened, but you wouldn't dare...you won't want to miss a single word.

What a wonderful combination of laughs, tears, pain, inspiration and triumph. It'll make you think about life, relationships, dreams, forgiveness, love and much more. I absolutely loved it!

Beyond the Quiet tells the story of one woman's journey of self discovery. When Lisa's husband dies she is devastated. But not everything about her marriage is what it seems. As she struggles to come to terms with her husband's beytrayal, she is forced to examine her life as a wife and a mother. An unexpected meeting with a retired fire chief gives Lisa a second chance at love.

Beautifully written, if you one read one book this year, this is it!
