Rock n' Roll, April 14, 2010
This review is from: Beyond Salvation (Audio CD)
This is an older album from an Australia Rock and Roll band. I first heard some of the tracks used on a surf film in 1990 and it rocked. Its real old time Rock and Roll, lots of fun. Some of the songs don't resonate as well as the others. The ones that do, get you pumped for a good session in the ocean.

Ripoff, August 14, 2006

Great album but this release has not neen remastered, the only reason it got released was because the Angels back catalogue brings big money on Ebay Australia as it hasn't been availible for some time. This company is only doing a quick cash in avoid at all cost if nobody buys they might get the message.

This Band Had Serious Potential, April 12, 2007
This review is from: Beyond Salvation (Audio CD)
I came across the 'Beyond Salvation' CD quite by accident, but being a fan of all things 80s and melodic metal I had to check it out,I was very pleasantly surprised. This band never really made it big in the states but that's a shame, the sound (in my opinion) is very similar to Night Ranger and they could have had a lot of success had they hung in there (and gotten the right push from their label)
All the songs on this CD are very good and you're toes will be tapping, the standouts in my opinion are 'Dogs Are Talking' 'Rhythm Rude Girl' 'Can't Shake It (which was also done by Great White, this version is very good),Am I Ever Gonna See Your Face Again, and Let The Night Roll On
there are no terrible songs on the CD and it's worth checking out if you like melodic rock (think Journey,Night Ranger,Survivor)
The Upside - the production is very good, the songs are very good,'Am I Ever Gonna See Your Face Again' is awesome,'Can't Shake It' and 'Let The Night Roll On' all groove with the best of their peers
The Downside - some of the lyrics are a bit ridiculous and cheesy (but hey,it was still the 80s) and most of the songs are great to listen to but are also easy to forget (which is where a label's push helps so much)
The Bottom Line - this band should have gotten more fame then they did, they had a lot of potential,if you like melodic rock with a definite 80s feel check 'em out (especially at these prices,it's well worth it) you 'll be glad you did...donut man says so!!!
