This review is from: Beyond Segregation: Multiracial And Multiethnic Neighborhoods In The United States (Paperback)
This was an interesting book on multiracial and multiethnic neighborhoods in the United States. Unlike what has traditionally occurred in the past, Maly describes how many neighborhood today are experiencing stable integration, though such neighborhoods also typically face various challenges. The book focuses on three case studies: Uptown in Chicago, Jackson Heights in New York City, and San Antonio-Fruitvale in Oakland. His detailed description of these neighborhoods brings these issues to life.
