In my high school short story class, we read a few of Jewel Mogan's stories from this book. The entire class was especially interested in the story "X and O". The story is about modern day teens who fool around and end up pregnant. It is about the decision of abortion and the thought and stress involved for a teenage girl. A lot of us in the class were able to feel her pain and able to understand why she had to make the decisions she made. The other stories in this book also are very interesting and very well written. If you feel like light reading that you may be able to relate to on a certain level, this is a good choice.
