This booklet describes what the author learned about these issues during the many experimental procedures that she underwent. It's not really a self help book and it does not give much advice about what to do, other than to encourage the reader to find a competent dental surgeon. It touches on many controversial issues "beyond amalgam", including extractions, root canals, infection, materials, incompatible metals, wisdom teeth, nutrition &c. while centering on the main issue in this book, namely cavitations. Cavitations are areas of osteonecrosis or osteomyelitis, basically rotten bone, in the lower and upper jaw which can harbor infections. Some of the information in this book should be described as tentative, experimental or even speculative, but the author makes no distinction between more and less well established facts, nor does she support her statements with references or studies.Read more ›
Mainstream dentistry won't be addressing the unpleasant truths tackled in Beyond Amalgam regarding jawbone "cavitation" and its effects on systemic health any time soon. So, if you do read this book you'll run the risk of winding up too far ahead of the curve. Your dentist may not even like you anymore!
This book is particularly dangerous to the health care professional--proceed with extreme caution! With this info you may find yourself even more persona non grata than those pesky critics of wholesale fluoridation!
Stockton's personal experience within this new dimension of dentistry and disease etiology and her straight forward style of reporting makes this book a jawbuster--it should be a Blockbuster. But, somehow, I don't think the powers that be are going to be very supportive, heheh.
