About the Author
Richard Edwards was born in Tonbridge, Kent, and has since lived in Italy, France and Spain. He is an acclaimed writer for children and has written over 20 picture books and books of poetry for children. He divides his time between Edinburgh and Barcelona. Susan Winter was born in South Africa and graduated from Natal University before becoming a social worker, first in South Africa and later in London. After the birth of her second child, she studied illustration at Chelsea School of Art, and began a new career as a freelance illustrator of children's books.

A wonderful story for little ones (I enjoyed it too!). I did have one problem with the shipping, however. The first book I received came as French/English as opposed to Polish/English even though the slip cover was correct, but Amazon's return policy is great and they shipped a new book out pronto.Got a kid...get the book, any child will love it. Want to reinforce your family's culture and language...it is easy to do with the duo languages printed on each page.

I do not speak Polish well, and I don't read it at all, but I wanted this book so that my Mother (my daughter's Busia) could read her a story in Polish. The story is sweet and my daughter often picks it as one of her bedtime stories. The illustrations are very nice, too.
