Book Description

December 1999
A businessman's interpretation of the Bhagvad Gita How relevant is God in modern times? What is the purpose of human life? Why do even the rich and the powerful find themselves in stress? What should be our attitude to work? Scriptures like the Bhagvad Gita contain profound answers to these and other basic questions of life. We all want to live a peaceful and purposeful life. We would like to have complete control over events that affect us. But very often, we find ourselves driven by circumstances that are not to our liking. Arjuna encountered himself in the same predicament many millenniums ago. And not knowing what to do, he turned to Lord Krishna for advice. The profound discourse of the Lord Himself is contained in the Bhagvad Gita, one of the most sacred and ancient scriptures of India.

INDUSvista invites you to explore the Bhagvad Gita and examine its relevance to your personal life.

Know that life has two aspects: the material mind-body and the spiritual Soul. Learn about the three spiritual disciplines of Work, Worship and Wisdom. Understand the guiding philosophy of Karma Yoga - we can exercise control over our actions, but not over their outcome. Discover that the purpose of life lies beyond personal wealth and power. Become aware of the divine Self within and discern how meditation leads to inner peace. Realize that Yoga is more than physical postures and breath-control. Read about the concept of Nirvana, or God-like perfection. Like Arjuna, empower yourself with spiritual strength to face the battlefield of life.

INDUSvista presents the Bhagvad Gita through more than a dozen interactive audio-visual sections which are as entertaining as they are enlightening. From immersing yourself in the depths of its teachings to obtaining recapped insights on intricate issues, you can chart your own path through this grand reservoir of wisdom. All along the way, you will be accompanied by eloquent voice-overs, melodious chants, uplifting instrumental music, vibrant graphics and a commentary amalgamated from the thinkings of some of the most prominent philosophers of our times - Sri Aurobindo, S.Radhakrishnan, Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, Swami Chinmayananda, Swami Sivananda, Swami Tapasyananda and others.

This rendition of the Bhagvad Gita offers a mantra for living a peaceful and purposeful life in the new millennium. Do not miss the opportunity to learn about it.

This CD is accompanied by a FREE 500 page book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Rome's Burning Again - Keep Fiddling?, January 31, 2001
By
Steve Bardsley (Attleboro Falls, MA USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Bhagavad Gita CD-ROM Edition with Book (CD-ROM)
Few are the scriptural literary efforts not subject to interpretive annhilation. While Thomas aKempis' "Imitation of Christ" may well be the authoritative work on behaving like the christians namesake, the Bhagavad Gita may well be the authoritative work on behaving like God himself. And for a new, high-tech millenium what better version than this CD-Rom.

Rich graphics, authentic music, recitations and the knowledge and fore-thought to truly guide through tumultuous times, the Bhagavad Gita is timelessly ensconced, replete with a wisdom as relevant today as it was, or will be, in any era. This edition increases its accessibility for our time with an ease of operation succeeded only by its deep spirituality.

A work to practice or just compare to the relevance of your own beliefs, whatever they may be.

This review is from: The Bhagavad Gita CD-ROM Edition with Book (CD-ROM)
I have read the book and gone through the CD. I even circulated the package to my friends. They all enjoyed it.

My family members, friends and my sisters as well as my brothers office staff have congratulated you for it and they wanted to know what would be Aridhi's new project.
