This is an excellent treatment of millenia-old Hindu religious thought for the modern day thinking man. The main body of the book is Lord Krishna's explanation to his life-long friend and champion archer Arjun of life's purpose. I heartily recommend it to any reader interested in obtaining an overview of one of India's greatest philosophical works!

This is the version of Song Celestial to download as it has an active TOC and the best formatting available. Superb! I have it on my Kindle for Android phone (HTC Incredible!)

the bhagavad gita is one of those texts considered essential in the study of comparative religions. i find it inspiring. this translation is a little old and it was translated into british english / both relatively minor details. like other basic religious texts on kindle a current translation ought to be available without cost. i give this a solid A.
