This disc is a compilation of modern Bhangra music from Kiss Records in India. The sound is a result of the Western influence of Dance and Hip-Hop music that moved overseas into Indian clubs and basements in the 80's and has taken a foothold with modern youth. All songs have a very Indian flavor (and instruments) and a modern, accessible sound. All are very good (particularly track 1) ....

Well, it's the first review I do in Amazon. As a Brazilian, I live in a country that nobody ever heard or talks about Bhangra. This was my first Bhangra CD, and I must say that it's better than any Bally Sagoo I have. Ok, it's certainly not the best Bhangra CD ever, but for the price it's almost (that's why I gave it 5 stars). The best tracks in my opinion are 4, 9, 10 and 11. The last one is my opinion the best Bhangra I ever heard. You can feel some kind of a real emotion in the singers, even if you don't understand a word they are saying. My wife, family and friends (who as I told you have never heard anything like it) all love it. Even the children get crazy whem listenning to it. If you are looking for a good Bhangra CD, try this one.

Having a new interest in Bhangra music, I listened to the previews and read the reviews offered by Amazon. I was very pleased with this purchase. Good quality, price and value. This CD is a keeper because it contains a variety of songs differing in beat and tempo. Some songs are feel-good, some are "catchy" and some make you want to dance. I play it in the car and at home.

This is the first cd I bought after hearing bhangra for the first time on NPR. I love this cd, and am now learning about other artists.

I'm new to bhangra however this cd is a great compilation. It has a nice mix of slow to fast paced bhangra hits. Definitely a must buy and I will be getting more!!

We listen to this disk at work. It is not as good as Infinite Bhangra but it sure beatz many other albums. If you like the 80's underground dance music scene in the inner cities, you'll get off on this. Buy it pronto.

I've listened to this CD over and over since it came last week. Perfect for bellydancing! Very upbeat, a little slow stuff, but mostly makes me want to dance!
